NEW ORLEANS!!!

Just a sampling of the unbelievable architecture!  We walked (or bicycled) everywhere -and it was an adventure every time.  The building above is a bar/lounge we used to go to down the street from where we lived- "The Spotted Cat"- live music every night of the week!
The New Orleans Police Station.
Banana Trees!  It was very tropical, thats for sure...some might even say..... Damn Hot?!
Now this requires some explaining...  Its not what it looks like!
This is a place called "Hookah Bar"  (also just down the street from where we lived- yikes!)  We are smoking flavored tobacco through a Hookah (ancient Indian smoking device).  I believe this afternoon it was...mango, cocunut...ahhhhh.
After a long day in the swamps wrestling with alligators- we sat down with Jed, Mike and Keith to a gourmet feast at a place called "Brightsens" in the Garden District.  This was THE meal to end ALL meals?!  Our palates are totally spoiled after two months in this city.
One of our gator friends joined us for a little wine and etoufee.
And of course to top off the night....a stroll down Bourbon Street with Hurricane in hand.  There's nothing like a Hurricane and some good friends.
